first_imgJammu, Apr 17 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra who is also the Chairman of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, today visited Kakryal to review the arrangements for the visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the town on April 19.The Governor was informed that the arrangements are being given the final touch for the Prime Ministers visit, an official spokesman said.He said that the PM, who accepted the Governors request to inaugurate two major Projects of the Shrine Board will proceed directly to Kakryal after arrival at Jammu.He would inaugurate the 230 bedded Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super speciality Hospital at Kakryal which has been constructed at a cost of about Rs 300 crore.The Prime Minister would also dedicate the Shrine Boards Sports Complex at Katra. The Prime Minister would also address the fifth Convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and, later, address an invited gathering in the Sports Ground of the SMVDU where he will dedicate SMVDNS Hospital to the people and distribute cards on a token basis for free medical treatment at the Hospital.The cards will be given to the persons who live in the nearby villages from which land was acquired on which the University and the Hospital have been built, the spokesman said.The Prime Minister would also dedicate the Sports Complex, Katra through electronic means at this function.The Governor directed the Chief Secretary and other senior officers to ensure that all necessary arrangements were made in time and foolproof security and traffic arrangements be made for the Prime Ministers visit.
