first_imgTipperary’s Paddy Butler will leave Munster this summer after the Irish province confirmed the 24 year old didn’t look to renew his contract which expires at the end of the season. Butler is a graduate from the Munster academy but he has struggled to break into the first team, and with the highly rated No 8 Jack O’Donoghue seen as a long-term option, the Tipperary native is thought to be seeking opportunities elsewhere.Sean Dougall is another who is set to leave and has already agreed a deal with French Division 2 side, Pau, while Butler is also rumoured to be moving to the club.  Commenting on the player departures Head Coach Anthony Foley said: “It is always disappointing to see guys leave. In professional sport you have to be ambitious, and players are eager to secure game time, but with the backrow being such a competitive area within our squad it is an ongoing challenge to satisfy all parties.”However, Munster confirmed that centre Denis Hurley has signed a one-year contract extension that will see him remain with the province until June 2016.last_img
