Williams and Treevon Prater have failed to qualify academically and will not enroll at Syracuse this fall, the Post-Standard reported Friday afternoon.SU head coach Scott Shafer told the Post-Standard that Williams and Prater are both considering whether to go to junior college or prep school this fall.Williams, as a four-star wide receiver, was considered one of the centerpieces of the Orange’s incoming freshman class. Prater is a three-star defensive back.Williams is the cousin of incoming freshman quarterback A.J. Long and rising fifth-year receiver Jarrod West, but will not have a chance to play with either of them this upcoming season.
