Trainer and consultant in digital fundraising. Founder of Fundraising Camp and co-founder of GoodJobs.org.uk. Researching massive growth in giving. The West Bromich Building Society is hoping to increase response rates to its postal vote for Directors standing for election by donating 10p for every form returned. The building society will donate 10p to Cancer Research UK for each voting form returned, up to a maximum of £5,000. Cancer Research UK is the building society’s nominated charity. Offering such incentives has been tried by other companies, such as BT which donated a fee to ChildLine for every questionnaire filled in last year. It is not common enough, however, so the idea should be worth mentioning in any negotiations with potential corporate supporters.
